Exporting to Excel

[ Edited ]

I am running Act! Premium Version 21.0.295.0, Update 4 --Working from a remote database.

All of the sudden, whenever I try to export any list (contacts, opportunities, etc) to excel, I am getting this error message (see attached image). Any insight?

Re: Exporting to Excel

Hello,

  1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Programs and Features.
  3. Click Microsoft Office , and then click Change.
  4. Select Quick Repair, and then click Repair. You may have to restart your computer after the repair process is complete.

Thank you,
Carl

Re: Exporting to Excel

Try a full Office Repair. It might help.

Re: Exporting to Excel

Ok...I did that.. Still getting the same error message in ACT, and now when opening all of my Office products its telling me that its Office365..and wants me to Register it?!? I have a registered version of Office 2013... and never had an issue exporting lists before...So now not only is my ACT not exporting properly, I'm now being told that my Office products are unlicensed... What is going on?

You probably have a mix of 2 Office versions on your machine.

There is a knowledge base article covering this:

The part about leftover Registry keys is the relevant part for you.

Re: Exporting to Excel

It looks like the linking via window registry has broken. I also think that the office repair has installed a new version of office that was lurking as a result of windows 10 updates.

This sound horrible but is probably the easiest way to resolve the now mixed issues.

Uninstall the new office version.

Check that the old version of office still runs. Reinstall if needed.

Uninstall ACT and then reinstall.

Here is a knowledgebase article covering the error but it also just suggest reinstalling ACT for this error.
