Re: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation

To be honest, I would get updated to the latest service pack and hotfix as this may take care of any repairs that are necessary.

Go to http://www.act.com/en-uk/support/downloads/emea/

You'll need, in this order:

Act! Premium v17 SP2 Update - UK

Act! v17 SP2 Hotfix 2

Make sure you back up your database although you'll be prompted to do this when you open up Act after the upgrade

You'll need the top one first

I'm using Act! Premium Version 17.1.169.0, Hot Fix 2. When I try and run the service pack or hotfix it says these are installed. When I check for updates in ACT it says I'm on the latest build

If You use Webroot on your computer, that could be one reason. Recent update on webroot, removes act.shared.sync.dll
From programfilex86- act-actfor windows folder. If u dont find this file there you need to copy from installation source folder to this folder again and try opening the database

If its 64bit . In programfiles(x86) folder , you can find ACT folder and inside that Act for window.. There make sure you could find this file. If not copy the file from Installation Source folder and.paste it back here

Hi,

Can you also confirm when clicking on the outlook sync preferences in the tools menu, do you get any error message??

Also the error message is it only showing when you open your database or does it happen in demo database too?

Thank you
