Error when editing secondary contact (??)

Client reports that when editing secondary contacts "Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object" error occurs when OK is clicked and changes are not saved.  This behavior does not occur on all machines.  Deleting preferences stops the error but only temporarily.  The error occurs again in just a few "edits".  It does not appear to be limited to specific contacts or specific secondary contacts.

ACT!2012

Windows XP SP3

Users are local admins

Since rebuilding preferences fixes the problem for a while, I'm assuming that is the source of the problem but what would cause it to re-occur?

Thanks for any input...

Re: Error when editing secondary contact (??)

Hello Scott,
Is the user the record manager for the contacts that the secondary contacts are associated with? This was a reported issue but was reported fixed prior to 2012 release. Maybe an uninstall/reinstall will fix the issue. You can also check to make sure all users are on the same SP and hot fix.
