When we chose "Chili" as the country for the phone format we get the error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object". And when we try to "edit formats" we get the following error "Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index". Is there anyone who knows how we can solve this problem?

This is more then likely an issue with the country list key in the registry if you get the error in multiple databases.
If its not database specific, you'll have to replace the country list key in the registry.

When the country name in the registry is written differently than the one written in the country field, there is no error message. But the country code is set to .
For example, if you have a french OS, the country name in the registry is "Belgique". If you write "Belgium" in the country field, then you click in the phone field, the country code will set to "Belgium .
So your solution is for an other issue.
The error encounter by Jurgen is database-specific. I wrote a message about it in the newsgroups in the past.
