I want to preface this by stating I did have Sage Act! 2012 Premium (access via web) set up and working just fine with the same scenario as described below so I know it is possible to have IIS/Sage Act! and Apache on the same server machine.
My server had issues and my backup was corrupted so I had to start from scratch. I seem to have missed a step in setting everything up but I can't figure out what it is.
When I open the Act! application on the server and access Tools->Web Site Administration and test, I get the following error:
Unable to connect because the website is not running.
I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 machine with Apache web server and IIS running on the same machine. Apache listens to a few static IP's and IIS listens to one. Both listen on port 80. The set up seems to be fine. I can access all websites from the Internet and there are no conflicts. I used this info to setup Apache and IIS: http://www.iislogs.com/steveschofield/iis7-post-44-iis7-and-apache-on-the-same-machine
When I open the Act! application on the server, the database opens and all seems fine. I can also access it via the Internet (http://www.mysite.com/apfw).
I've googled, searched both the KB and this forum, compared my settings to what I've found but still the problem persists.
It's probably something simple I overlooked.
Could it have anything to do with the ASP.Net impersonator account I created for Act? I created the account but how do I make sure it is being utilized. Where do I specify it to be used?
Also, since IIS is not set up to listen on 127.0.0.1, accessing the database via http://localhost/apfw does not work.

It seems I'm not the only one that has encountered this error because there are a couple of other posts in the Sage Act! forum from users that have received the same or similar error but no solutions.
I held in the Ctrl key when clicking on the different tabs of the Web Site Administration and was able to enter the needed info.
Even though the Web Site Administration test fails, all seems to function properly.
Just wish I knew what is causing this.
