We use Act 2012 here at work. There are quite a few of us using it but one person inparticular recently has begun getting an error message when putting in an email address in the notes section. At first we were unaware of the error message as it pops up behind the window and the note just refuses to close, but does continue to add the note over and over again inside the contact. I am not sure what changed to cause this to start happening and why just one person. When you OK the error message it then open an internet connection.

after typing the note, with the email in the body of the note and clicking OK the error window that pops up reads
Windows Internet Explorer (that is at the top of the box)
could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed
then it takes you to IE page with the mailto address in url field
