I’m looking at investing in an email platform provided by and email service provider and would like it integrated into my ACT! Database, so that sends, reads, opens and clicks can be recorded in the history of a contact. I have spoke to a number of ESPs and some seem to think this is a relatively simple process and can be done through API or manual import while others say it’s difficult to virtually impossible.
What’s the truth? And how can it be done? I don’t mind a manual import by csv – but can you import such things into a history? Or is there a process to trigger a history event on import?
