E-mail / address book not loading

Hello.  We have suddenly had an issue that our address book does not load up while attempting to select other parties to email or cc a message.  The address book is available in the main lookup function in the data base.  Has anyone had a similar experience?  Thank you in advance for your reply.

What version of ACT! and OS are you using?  Are you using Internet email?

Windows Vista Business - Act 10.0  - also now we've lost all of our incoming emails that were stored.

Thanks, that part did bring back our address book to the email window viewing area.  However, now we cannot send or receive email.  We did a test of our email connection through the advanced portion of email set up.  It went out perfectly and the test email was received.  However when we try to retrieve email, it starts to load all the incoming emails then we get a message that it cannot connect to server.  Also when we send out an email we get the message that there is a problem with ActEmail.exe.  Also, we still cannot see our previous incoming and outgoing emails prior to the original address problem.
