Dynamic group membership by keyword searches

We are running ACT! 2009 and need to create groups with dynamic membership criteria based on a keyword search (or by values in the history.)  Any ideas?

Re: Dynamic group membership by keyword searches

Dynamic membership uses the Advanced Query interface, which can only query by information contained in fields, not the history or notes entries.  If the criteria information you would like to use is contained in the fields, then you use can use general operators such as Starts With, Ends With or Contains to widen your criteria. You can also use wildcards and special characters.  See the following Knowledgebase article for more information on advanced lookup options:

Advanced Lookup Features in ACT!

To add contacts to a Group using the Keyword Search (general) or Lookup By Example (specific), you will need to manually perform the search, highlight the resulting contacts, then right-click on them and choose Add Contacts to Group.

Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
