Dynamic Group for Field Changes

Hopefully someone can answer this for me, because I can't seem to get it on my own.  I am familiar with setting up dynamic groups and use them all the time, but a new need popped up today and I can't figure it out.  I need to create a dynamic group that shows contacts that have had a specific field changed in the past # of days.  Right now the closest I can get is a dynamic group with new contacts entered in the range of time i want, but that obviously doesn't include already existing contacts that have had this specific field changed.

I have ACT! Premium 2012.  If anyone can help, that would be awesome.  Thanks!

Re: Dynamic Group for Field Changes

I'm just guessing here.

In Contact Record

What about using the History Tab?

"Types" Dropdown filter

Expand the System changes

Expand system

and you will see "Field Changed" Option

Filter on that and your list view will show desired results?

Will wait to hear back - cheers - FSBill

Re: Dynamic Group for Field Changes

Good news is I was able to find the field changed option.  Bad news is I don't know how I would use that to put the list of all contacts into a lookup or group all contacts that had a specific field changed?

Good new is: You can perform  Lookup / Search on keywords

in search window  enter your desired date example  6/10/2013

select your other filter criteria such as Type of Records = Contact Records

Look in Histories

Click on Find Now

Bad news is: it doesn't work.  Anyway my ACT!2011 Pro is not producing any results when it should be.

Now if Swiftpage could fix that, there you go.  It may work in newer versions of ACT!? I have not checked.

They should allow us to filter on System Fields as well as regular fields.

There may be a add-on that will work?

You may need a ACT! Consultant and maybe they could whip up some quick code for you?

You also mite check with support@exponenciel.com and Gilles may be able to resolve with custom program??

Reference  Lookup Activities

I got that to produce lookup- but need a History Report to report the desired field data.

You should be able to assign your lookup results to a Group? ( Lookup / Groups / Save Lookup as Group)

Also need way to perhaps Export it to CSV?
