Does creating groups have an effect on database size?

We would like to start using groups and subgroups, but are concerned that it will increase our database size.

As I understand it using a group is like categorizing contacts so the only increase in database size would come from the lookup or query.

I that assumption correct?

Re: Does creating groups have an effect on database size?

The actual creation of the Group and adding contacts to it will not noticeably increase the size of your database (.adf file). The Group is just a single record with indexes linking it to the associated contacts.
