I had a user with some corrupt tasks, so I copied their contact record, made a new user, deleted the old account and let Act reassign the old data to the new user. It seemed to fix the problem we were having however after several weeks the user noticed their history didn't come over with the data. I took a backup copy of the database, put it online under a new name and sure enough all the history was there. How do I copy just the history (don't want to copy the bad data), from the user account in one database to the other?

Sorry to hear that you are having some data errors. When importing data into Act! you cannot import only the history of the contacts, you would need to import all of the data.
Please let us know if you have additional questions.

So there is no way to export that data for import into the other database? Suppose I deleted most everything in the old database but the history. How would I go about the export/import? I'm an IT guy not an Act! user, I don't do this often.

You should be able to do an Act! database to database export or import. As long as the duplicate checking settings are set and the merge options are set correctly the notes and histories should merge. The Knowlegebase article http://kb.swiftpage.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/17539/kw/export%20database will go over how to do that. If this doesnt work for you, a direct connection to sql is needed to pull the notes and histories out, the hold up is that they will have to be matched correctly to the other database by GUID number.
Let me know if you have further questions.

Table location is listed below:
