In this version of ACT when we have more than five all day banners in they simply don't show up in the daily calendar view. Is there a way to change this?
Also, sometimes when there are lots of events that day they don't show up in the day view (e.g. also for events that are not full day banners). Is there a setting to change how many are displayed?

Check out our add-on Calendar View Plus for ACT! (CVP). With CVP you can set the amount of all day banners appearing at the top of the calendar view. By default its set to 5. Follow these steps to change.
Download and install Calendar View Plus then Restart ACT at http://durkincomputing.com/Download.aspx
1) Go to the "Tools" menu and select "Durkin Calendar Plus"
2) Click on the "Calendar' tab
3) et the slider bar or click on the 'plus sign' for your desired banner height
4) Click OK to close
