Deleting User Errors

In an attempt to delete a user, I am getting a timeout error:

 "Timeout expired - The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation on the server or the server is not responding".

Using Actdiag the timeout parmeters were extended with no impact to the issue.

Any feedback?

I hope you have a backup. It's timing our deleting everything where that user was the record manager.

We back up daily. This user happens to be the orginal user of the DB. The one that loaded it etc. and indeed has a large "footprint" in it.

I extend the timeout to a rediculous value and it still occurs within 30 seconds of effort.

Is your goal to delete all the records that user entered into the database?

We do not want to delete his records but rather transfer them to a new user. That option is selected within the delete operation.

I have this exact issue.

I already transferred everything to a new user, and cannot get rid of the old user, which was also the original user of the DB.
