Delete Old Databases in DatabaseList ACTDiag

I see in ACTDIAG under DatabaseList some 10 old Databases called "Recovered" but I like to get rid of these.

The "active" ones are " On Line"

How to delete the "recovered databases" ?

William

Re: Delete Old Databases in DatabaseList ACTDiag,-SystemDBNull ..error !

This is an issue with the SQL server, not the ACT! program. You would likely need to use the Sequal Server Management Studio (SSMS) to delete those databases. Unless you're familiar with SSMS, I would suggest contacting an ACC for help.

Right click on the database, and select Detach Database.

Re: Delete Old Databases in DatabaseList ACTDiag,-SystemDBNull ..error !

I did try that rightclick and got  Popup Error

"Unable to cast object of type'System.DBNull' to type 'SystemString'

Always this above error with all the "Recovered" databases.

I also did the usual "repairs" etc as mentioned in ACTDIAG, but still get all these Errors with the "recovered"

If  I do rightclick ACTDemo2013 then I can "detach" and that works OK,withour error.

Re: Delete Old Databases in DatabaseList ACTDiag,-SystemDBNull ..error !

Cannot delete.in Act Diag

I also tried to delete from:

ProgramData\ACT\Actdata\Indices, to delete the files there (same as mentioned in ACTDIAG) but after 20 seconds the deleted

files as back again.

(I work as Administrator in ActDiag and Deleteing in above directory, but it does not work/delete.
