Define Fields - Edit to iniclude a drop down box

I'm pretty sure this cannot be done, but it doesnt't hurt to ask...

I know I can edit a field to make it a drop down list field--- with the desktop version of Act! 2012 Premium Access via web.  Is it possible to do this to the web client verision?  There is no "Define Fields" item under Tools in the browser, as there is in the desktop version.

I use ID/Status to map contacts. Depending on their status, they are given a different pin.  My concern is that if I mis-spell a contacts status, they will not be properly mapped.

It can't be done locally but it can be done on the server.

You can modify the contents of a drop down via ACT for wEb,  but you would need to access the desktop version on the server to go to Tools, Define fields and add a new field.

Is going to the server or a networked copy of the desktop software a possiblitiy.

If you are using  the ACT Hosted service, they do not give you access to the master database to make changes and you would need to submit a request to the hosting company.

Pleasantly surprised!

Edited the field on the server, and it did carry through to the browser!
