We are about to set up Act 2008 v.10. for our NZ based office.

We also have an Australian based office.

Do we set up one database  for both countries and assign them as seperate groups  or should we set up as individual databases.?

Are you planning on useing sync or web for the remote office?

Do you want to be able to share data?

 We were thinking of using the sync  for the remote office and yes we do wish to share the data.

The Sync has rules to enable remote users to only see the data you want them to have from the master database.

Does your NZ office have access to AU network via VPN or something? Syncing is useful for modifying databases while no internet connection is active but if the users will always be office based a better solution would be to set up network sharing over VPN.

VPN is easy to set up, but is often so slow that it can cause issues
