Database locked, actdiag says login failed for user 'sa'

Hello,

When I try to log into Act, I get the message that the database is in single-user mode, verify the database is not locked may resolve the issue. Nobody in my company is in the database though, so I think it is locked.

When I run actdiag as administrator on the server, I try to go to Databases, Database Details List. Then I get the error message below.

I saw the directions on how to reset the SQL server connection here, but I'm not sure if I should follow those instructions.

I'm running Act! Premium Version 21.0.295.0, Update 9 on my computer.

 

Any guidance would be appreciated.

In actdiag click on Databases and then Database Names list. From there you can able to detach and reattach the Database.

I can't get past step 1 in those instructions because the actdiag program/utility is having issues with the sa user. When I click on Databases and then click on Database Details List (to go in and unlock the database), I get that "login failed for user 'sa'" message.

On my computer, when I go to Help, About Act!, it says it is "Act! Premium Version 21.0.295.0, Update 9"

In actdiag click on Databases and then Database Names list. From there you can able to detach and reattach the Database.

Thanks Paul, I was able to detach the database and then attach it again. All seems to be working now.


I could get into the "Database Names List" but not the "Database Details List"

I appreciate the help.
