We have Act Premium 2011 at the office and we have this strange error with the popular "Database cannot be accessed" error on all machines on the network except the local server. However this error only occurs when starting up ACT for the first time. (when it is attempting to reopen last opened database) If we click OK after the error dialog and manually open the PAD file locates on the server the database loads fine and everything works. But if we close ACT program and open it again the error pops up once more until I OKed the error dialog and manually open the PAD file again.
I attempted several fixes in KB 19640, but the database loads fine after the first try so this is more of a strange nuisance that we have to locate the PAD file manually every time. Any thoughts?
