Database Issue

Hi

I have a database in 2009 Premium which I have saved as a 2007 database, as I now need to load onto 2009 standard version software. But my Premium version then wont open the save as database so that I can then back up the file and then restore onto the 2009 standard version.

Anyone got any ideas how to help as I am pulling my hair out here!

Thanks

Re: Database Issue

You could try using winzip.   Detach the database in actdiag and then use winzip to zip the .ADF and .ALF files.

Re: Database Issue

There's a trick that works. after saving the database to standard format, try opening it with premium. You will be prompted about making a backup. Have it make the backup, it will be in standard format, then you can cancel the conversion.
