Database Could Not Be Accessed - Must Restart SQL Server

Every time I boot up my machine, SQL SERVER (ACT7) is showing as "Running" and is set to "AUTO" but when I load Act and open my database, it says its unable to connect.

I've tried the RESETSQL.BAT file but that just temporarily resolves the issue, presumably because it's restarting SQL SERVER. For example, even without executing this .bat file, if I simply restart the SQL server, then my database opens fine.

I checked event viewer and saw the following:

"Login failed for user 'sa'. Reason: Failed to open the explicitly specified database 'DBNAME'. [CLIENT: IP Address]"

Any ideas/suggestions?

For those that may have experienced the same problem, I had to change the SQL SERVER(ACT7) service from "AUTO START" to "AUTO START(Delayed)". Thus far it seems to work, will report back if anything changes.

Are you on a Domain?
I find that "Delayed" start works better on a Domain as it sometimes hasn't got the accounts from the DC when it tries to start up
