A few users are experiencing this error message when clicking on a column in the Dashboard. Doing so used to take them to the relevant data.

Re: Dashboard Error Message

It is highly recommended to have 'run as admin' enabled for Vista/Windows 7 computers.  Especially if Windows 'User Access Control' (UAC) is enabled.

Re: Dashboard Error Message

You mention that some users are getting this error, meaning 'not all'.  This may indicate that the ACT! preferences need to be rebuilt on those problem workstations.  Use the section 'Alternate Method - Manually Rebuilding Preferences' of this article: KB Article 14770

Re: Dashboard Error Message

Rebuilt the Perferences files for 3 users, all good. Though one user corrupted again 10 minutes later. This time it was the Opportunities View in List View. Blank data. It's a Windows 7 x86 machine running MS Offivce Business 2007. Very frustrating.

Re: Dashboard Error Message

Check the monitor DPI settings on that particular machine.  Customized DPI settings can corrupt the preference files.

Hi Greg, checked the DPI, it's 96.

Re: Dashboard Error Message

Should ACT always be run with administrator privileges? Checking Run program as an administrator on the Compatibility tab.
