Creating History

Here is the situation. I am useing Act! Premium (web). I have noticed there is a difference between submiting my note to history by clicking the history button, and creating an activity and clearning it. When I create a history by creating an activity then clearing it right away, the following happens 1. I get a cleared activity in my activity windows 2. The dashbord ajust it's self accordingly. 3. information get submitted into history. However, When I the history button, the first two dont happen. any way to change this?

creating a history doesn't write to the activity table. This is why you don't get these.  The task list and activity dashboard dont pull from the history table.


Your only option if you want to see these there is to first make an activity and then clear it.  Or use the history report or dashboard.
