I'm following this article for migrating an ACT database:
I can run the backup process successfully on the old Act 2007 server. I copy the zip file to the new Act 2012 Premium for Web Server. I run the restore database procedure, and after a few seconds it throws the error:
"Could not find a local header where one was expected in the zip file. Type:Xceed.Zip.ZippedFile....."
I repeated the process, and created a new backup file, and tried importing that, but got the same error.
Am i doing something wrong? Suggestions for a fix greatfully received.

The message certainly implies a damaged zip file... a work-around is to copy the files directly to the new machine without performing a backup. Instructions: KB Article 23392
