Contacts Incorrectly Listed in Multiple Groups

I use ACT Premium on a shared network using Windows 7, and I have thousands of contacts that were inadvertently added into an additional group and need to be placed into only one group.  For example, I have a contact that is supposed to be listed in a group of contacts for one particular U.S. state and is also listed into the Group for another state (i.e., A Texas Contact is also listed inccorectly in the Florida contact list, etc.)

As I mentioned, this is the scenario for thousands of my contacts and I need to remove contacts from their additional incorrect groups without individually going through each contact and removing the additional, incorrect group classification.  Is there a way to do this en masse to save time?

Robert,

Are you referring to Static or Dynamic Groups?
