Do not forget to make a backup on the computer (server database) and copy this ZIP file in an external memory for more security
(File Menu ... Backup ... Database ... Include attachments)

Not sure this is the solution I was looking for, it says " you see that the number of available contacts to sync is zero".
This is not the case for us, the sync set is well populated.
The issue must be elsewhere, I am sure there is a log file somewhere where I can see what went wrong.
