Contact Report pulling in reports not within the requested date range.

When I run my contact report, I set it for a specific date range.  On the final report that previews I get reports on contacts that have NOT had any activitity between the set date ranges.  I run this report weekly and I continually get the same contacts that show up on the report every week!  There has been no editing done on them for months however they keep showing up on the report.

You could do a Lookup | Contact Activity first and then run the report for the current lookup.

The date range settings in the Notes, History, Activities and Opportunities restrict only the items reported in the subreports, they don't directly effect the number of contacts included in the main body of the report. If the report template hasn't been edited at all the contact report should exclude any contact where all the subreports are empty due to filtering.

Thank you.  I understand what you are saying, however I have not done any editing to the report templates.  Is there a way to ONLY get in my reports those that have an addition to notes, history, activities or opportunites?  I run this report with intent of monitoring all salespeople and what they have done for the week, and the volume of the report is way more than it needs to be because it is pulling in these contact summaries that have not had anything reported on them within my date range.  Can I edit somewhere to fix this?
