I have network sync set up and I believe working correctly. The one concern I have about that is that when I log into server where ACT is installed I am unable to check the "Accept Incoming Syncs" but if I go to a work station under the same user name I am able to set that option with no issues. Any thoughts?
After that - the user is wanting to take the laptop home and work on act remotely, come into the office and then use the sync option to sync the previous changes he made. Do you have instructions on how to set that up?

The whole point of using the network sync service is to not have to have ACT! open, and then tell the db to listen for incoming syncs.
You'll need to add the database inside the network sync dialog, choose a port, then start the service.
You should then be able to cut a remote database, restore it on a remote machine, and then test sync.
ACT! on the server doesn't have to be open for this process to work correctly.
