We are going to purchase ACT Standard Edition. President is resistant to purchase because he feels that we can accomplish same contact management idea by using Outlook. Can someone help with a comparison of ACT versus Outlook as a contact management program?
We have tried to customize Outlook with our IT writing reports to "share" contact info in Outlook, but are unable to see any tasks or notes with other shared personnel...which is our main desire for the contact management is being able to share notes and tasks with all licensees.
Any comparison would be helpful and we would be grateful. THANKS

They really aren't comparable... Outlook is an email system with an address book or PIM (Personal Information Manager).
It is not designed to properly share, track and manage the relationships you have with your contacts - that is what ACT! does best
