I have ACT! 2007 Premium for Workgroups. When exporting ACT! contact records between databases, I have no problem and it processes quickly. However when I export a company, it takes a very long time - hours - even when there is little history and when it finishes, nothing shows up in history.
What is happening?

I'm a consultant and just last week we had the same problem in a new version of ACT!.
Instead of Export - try Importing.
(ultimatitly we had to hurry and did it at the SQL level but I know that's not something most can do...)
