Changes in salesperson names

My name is Jim G and I am a fairly new user of SAGE ACT Premium.   My problem is:

We have a database of 21,000+ contacts that either have no salesperson assigned, or an in-active salesperson.   Is there a short cut for changing or adding a salesperson name without going through every account individually?

If you do a lookup of the records you can then do an edit, replace for the data in an individual field for a lookup should resolve your question
