Change text case depending on use

Our database currently has data listed in all caps. I do want mailing labels to print in all caps. Is there a way to change the case for certain usages? For example, I would prefer initial caps when the address appears in a letter. Is there a way to format the field in the letter to Initial Caps and the field on the labels to ALL CAPS?

Re: Change text case depending on use

Hi hvanderwielen,

When Act! sends data to Mail Merged fields it will display in the exact way the data has been entered in the field.

There is not a way within Act that will change the case when mail merging and would have to be done post mail merging (which could be time consuming)

An alternative may be to have address details in Initial caps and create new fields which use the 'Uppercase' field type this would allow you to copy data from one field to another and be able to use the preferred type when mail merging to labels or letter.
