Cannot create remote db to upgraded 2008 db

Hello Everyone:

After upgrading ACT on the server and upgrading users on the network, we are not able to create a remote db from an upgraded db.   The publishing db was upgraded from 2006.

Going through the process of creating a remote db, the process appears to work correctly until the very end of the installation.  The messages received are:  copying content....creating indexes and keys....creating objects..

"Error:  Could not load file or assembly file:  Act.Data.Creation.dll"

I tried the hotfix, but still received the same error message.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks!

My guess is that you also cannot create a new database, nor do a File>Save Copy As either.

Check that you're Act.Data.Creation.dll file version (Properties) are the same as your other files such as ActSage.exe - if different, try copying that file manually from your install media to the install folder.

Restart ACT! and try the operation again.

That solved this particular problem.  Thanks very much for your response.

I had a similar problem, where I received the same error message while trying to create a remote database.  I was actually missing the Act.Data.Creation.dll file, so I copied it from the install CD and it fixed my problem.  Thanks!
