Recently for some unknown reason ACT2012 backup failed.
When I try to backup it fains and I get attached "acterror1" then I tried to run the KB suggested SQL2008R2_Express_BackupFix.bat batch file I get the second attached error "acterror2"
Please look at the errors, I am using the correct database name when I run the batch file

Did you move the BAT file to the BINN folder as per the KB?
What operating system?
If Win7 or Vista, can you try right-clicking on the BAT file and run as Administrator

Thank you, Yes I have tried in BIN folder in SQL Express but I did not do right click and run as admin. User already has admin rights on his Windows 7 (32).
Thank you any other suggestions?

I have seen this error when UAC is on try turning if off, then rebooting the machine and running the file again.
This link will show you how to turn off the UAC
Let me know how you go

Had this issue on my own machine, and running as admin didn't fix the issue.
I had to turn off UAC, I had just rebuilt the machine, the only reason UAC was still even on.
Not sure why but if you don't turn it off you get the above mentioned error.

Thank you for your reply, UAC is off. When I run the script it seems like I do not have the right SQL express rights.
Does it make sense?
I run as admin still get the same error.
