Cannot access my closed files database from networked computer

I have a clients database that I can access from networked Win 7 computer.  The XP server computer can access it.  ACT! 2010.  What can I do to access this from my Win 7 computer?

Re: Cannot access my closed files database from networked computer

I get message "cannot find database supplemental files folder [name of closed screens file] database files in this location [name of server drive]  This could be a problem with the share, or the folder may not exist.  Please contact the administrator of your database.  [The file exists (Secy uses regularly) and the file is shared to my computer.

Try running ACT! as the administrator or turn off the UAC.

Re: Cannot access my closed files database from networked computer

Running as administrator did not work.  But I opened the file on server cptr and under Tools set the database to shared.  (It had showed as shared but apparently was not shared.  Now I can access the closed files database.  Smiley Very Happy
