Cannot Open Opportunities ACT! Premium Workgroups 2007

Everything seems to work except I cannot open/edit any opportunity.  If I attempt to open one from any window ACT! hangs.  I have synchonized successfully with my company's database sveral times.  Here are screen shots of the error messages I get.  Can anyone provide a suggestion?

Try rebuilding your ACT! preferences.

 

Close ACT! and browse to the following location:

C:\Documents and Settings\<User_Name>\Application Data\ACT\ACT for Windows 9

 

Delete the following files if present:

preferencesBak.xml

preferencesBak3.xml

preferencesBak6.xml

preferencesBak9.xml

 

Open the Preferences folder and delete the following:

USpreferences206.xml

USpreferences206.xml.old

Hi

 

Having read the error messages have you tried re-indexing the database.

 

Tools, Database Maintenance, Check and repair.

 

If the previous suggestion and mine do not work and given that you are still able to sync try a new remote database.
