Cannot Access file when opening Synchronization panel Part 1

Using a ACT 20.1 Update 6 and Outlook 2016 running in 32 bit mode.

 

Strangely I can still manually attach emails from Outlook however when go into the Synchronization panel says I cannot access the file.

 

Follow is screen grabs of process:

 

Go to Tools.

Select Synchronize with outlook. 

Select Outlook Synchronization Preferences, get the following message

continuing from Part 1

 

after I try and change the file says cannot locate the file. but if you go to the last grab where I select tools and go to preference you can see the synchronization options appear to be correct  and it is showing the PAD file.  In short manual attaching is working in Outlook and also when i send an email it attaches. What is not working as a result of these issues is my ability to Synchronize contacts.

The cause for this error message can be as follows:

  • System files are missing or corrupted
  • Required files for the specific software are missing or corrupted

If not done already Please try running ACT by right clicking on ACT icon and select Run as Administrator. It is looking like some sort of permissions problem so worth a try.
