Can't import from CSV

Hey,

 

ACT 2009.

 

We've got two databases. Importing is working fine in one of them. In the other it has just stopped (worked the other week). Trying to do an import from CSV and no records enter. The records I'm trying to import are all new (not matching the duplicate checking settings). The matching options in the import are set to: if records don't match: "add"

 

Any ideas?

Are you seeing any errors? How has it stopped?

No errors. It just appears to complete (though the progress bar goes from 0 to 100 then disappears). But then none of the contacts are entered.

Try turning off Duplicate detection under tools. preferences.

Nope. Didn't work :/ Thanks for the suggestion.

 

Any other ideas? Any input from a Sage employee?

Yep. This is pretty much how I feel every time I have an ACT problem. Very alone!

 

We just got budget to move to MS CRM. We still have the old ACT box around here somewhere. The entire office is really looking forward to a nice funeral pyre for it.

Try eliminating special characters from your CSV.    Don't worry about the email column if you have emails.
