Can't create new database

Hi, I am trying to create a new database but keep getting the error

"An error occurred during the execution of xp_cmdshell.  A call to 'CreateProcess' failed with error code '5',  The statement has been terminated.

I'm on Windows 7 with Act! Premium 2010 version 12

Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Can't create new database

Mark -

A couple quick questions:

1. Have you ever been able to do this?

2. What if you created an empty copy of an existing db (i.e. Save As>Empty Copy

3. You didn't delete any ACT! directories (they're all over the place - User, Shared User, All Users, etc)

Also, any permissions/user changes would help, as well as making sure User Account Control settings are off, or as low as the slider allows

Re: Can't create new database

Hello Mark,
Welcome to the ACT! Online Community. "Error code 5" is an access denied error and the xp_cmdshell is a SQL function that usually requires administrative access. So I believe that Richard's suggestion to lower the settings for or disable User Account Control should resolve.
