Can't Create a Remote Database

I wrote about this before but the line which says "Create a Remote Database" is always greyed-out. I am using ACT! 2011 Premium on an Windows XP system. I tried to open the program as an administrator, as instructed but that also didn't work. I re-loaded the program, the same issue. I am at a loss.

Re: Can't Create a Remote Database

Hi,

Just have a quick check in your user permission. go to Tools-Manage users- see if have got permission for sync,

Re: Can't Create a Remote Database

This is how it reads:

I am listed asSecurity Code: the Administrator; Log On Status: Active

Under Specify Access, It is all greyed-out but the Active box is checked.

Under Add Permissions, again all are greyed-out but there is nothing in the column on the left but there are 6 items in the right column. One of those is Remote Administration.

Can you tell anything from all this?

Re: Can't Create a Remote Database

All good. you are as administrator and you have all permissions. So this should not be the issue

Just wondering where is your database is located. if it is located in different PC/ server rather than your PC. That  might be the issue. If that is the case try to remotely/directly  log into the computer where the database is located. then try to create remote DB from there.
