Can not share database.

I can not turn on the database share.  It (the check box) is not enabled when 'restoring as', and it is not enabled in the database management tab either.  I have moved the database to another local drive (larger)  and as far as I can tell, all directories are shared and have the proper permissions.  What else would keep sharing un-enabled ??

Re: Can not share database.

If you're at a Windows Vista or Windows 7 machine, try running ACT! as Administrator (RMC on the icon), then try sharing the database.  If it works, you're good-to-go and shouldn't have to run as administrator each time.

Re: Can not share database.

Thanks a bunch Kevin.  You nailed it.

I didn't think I had to run a program as administrator since my account has administrator priveledge.

OS is Server 2008 Standard.

Live and Learn, as usual..
