Have a bit of a issue with one of our users not being able to save Act .adt templates.
First the Data -
Act Premium 2013
MS Office 2010
Whether I Create a new template or open an existing template, when I do a Save as, it saves it as a word file. It doesn't offer
the Act Template format or the.adt extension. If you just save it, it acts as a save as and converts it to a word file.
I have 12 other users on this same shared database and all the Act preference setting appear to be the same.
If I log in as this user on another machine it works fine.
I have MS Word 2010 set as the word processor in the preferences.
I have tried adding the .adt extension when saveing, and this does not work either.
Any Idea's? would really like to not have a act reinstall on the system.
looking for any suggestions.

This is most likely an issue with Word running on that computer. Most likely Word has the ACT! addin disabled. Try the fixes in this KB document.

I have a similar, unsolvable problem with the .adt template required by Act. I am using v16 and Microsoft Office 2013.
Approximately 10 days ago Word began to give me the option to save as .adt. Before this quotes were necessary to save as .adt; specifically. "templatename.adt".
When I use .adt or "templatename.adt", Word defaults to "compatibility mode'.
I've tried everything. I've reinstalled Act. I've reinstalled Word. I've added a macro to the normal.docm to force it to save as .docx. I've changed registry values regarding compatibility mode.
Nothing has fixed this problem. Does anyone have a soluteion?
