Can I access the database using ODBC drivers?

Hi, I'm running ACT premium, 2007 version 9.

I don't quite understand what kind of database the data is held in.  I see it uses some kind of version of SQL on the local machine, but it's not running SQL server.

Can I use MS Access to connect to the tables and view/edit the data?

Thanks in advance

To edit the data, you MUST use the ACT! SDK. You cannot write directly to the tables.

For read access, you have 2 options:

OLEDB is usually easier as per this ACT! Knowledge Base article -

But if you want ODBC, see this post:

Thanks, I'll have a look into that.

What about write access?  Is that an option?
