I have single user in a shared database environment that has a repeatable problem. When he opens the calendar the client machine crashes.
Any help or direction is much appreciated!!

It sounds like a corruption somewhere is the activity data for that user. If you have not done so already carry out a repair and re-index on the database on the server as a first step.
If that does not work it is just possible it is a user corruption.
You could consider creating a new user in ACT and deleting the affected user. This gives you the option at the point of deleting the user to transfer all records and activity etc to the new user.

I have run the check and repair on the database ( from my desktop machine, does it matter if I do it on the server machine? )
Does it run some better check if I lock the database?
I can delete and re assign the user.
