I opened an item in the Month view to see what it said and it just simply disappeared. It is a yearly recurring so i went to 2015 and it was there. I tried to set it back one year to start in 2014 and the end year kept changing. I saved it and when I looked at the month view it had trippled for 9500+ days. I deleted it and it then showed it three times as deleted and I cannot remove it as it said it was deleted by the organizer. I need to not filter cleared items in this view but cannot have this view like this. It's really ridiculous. Please advise. It was the oddest of errors and no idea how this happened to begin with. I have numerous recurring and no issues.

It could be just that one activity that is damaged. Do you synchronize your calendar with any third party software?

I do with google but not on a regular basis. So it could be a week or two off. The three items all start at different times about 6 months apart. I tried a repair but that didn't do anything.

I do apologize, it seems that somehow a blank space was added to the link. Try this one: http://kb.swiftpage.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/14770/kw/14770

Thanks for the link. I did check it out. What exactly will it do? I"m a bit nervous about losing information. I made the backup but it will of course have the bad information in it. What are the preferences that it fixes?

Sorry, that post was actually meant to go to another topic, somehow I ended up putting it in here. However, to answer your question, rebuilding the preferences essentially sets the program preferences (Custom toolbars, Outlook Integration Preferences, etc). It does not remove any actual record data. That link can also be valid for your situation as well, though.
Another thing that you could try is to remove old data from the database, if any of the originating activities are cleared. Always create a backup of the database before trying to do this: http://kb.swiftpage.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/17518

Thank you. The 2nd look has this however:
Also how would rebuilding preferences help with the multiple deleted calendar items? Just trying to understand.

Sorry, the second link should be fixed now if you want to try it again.
Resetting the preferences wouldn't get rid of the activity itself, but may make it to where you can delete it, especially if you're the only user in the database.
As for the activity itself, it's possible that it's a damaged activity. If you can get it to let you completely delete it (and all occurances) from the database by deleting the preferences, then recreate the activity from scratch starting in 2014, it should stop showing up multiple times. Sometimes when you go to edit a recurring activity that was scheduled in the past with a start date from the past and you try to change the start date to something in the future, it can cause the particular activity to not function properly.
If you're not comforatble with trying this in your live database, you can create a copy of the database to test in to see if it works first before trying it in your live database. See the steps in the following article for information on creating a copy of your database:
