A Static group is a group of contacts what will not change.
A Dynamic group is one which included contacts will change based on values. I.E. You want a group for people who bought a "Bagel Toaster". As contacts get their field changed to bought a "Bagel Toaster", they are automatically added to the group. Any contact that has a bought a "Bagel Toaster" field changed to indicate they did not, would be automatically removed from the dynamic group

Groups aren't static or dynamic at the group level. Any group can have static or dynamic members or a mix of static and dynamic members. You can check the makeup of any group by going to the group and checking the group membership.

Thank you for the answers.
Maybe anyone could post a snippet of the code to determine it?
Or confirm, please, to be sure - static group - contains only static contacts/members and any other (mix or non-static) group is dynamic?
