Hello, we recently upgraded to Act V19 in the Cloud. We have a user who has never closed out his task list so he now has hundreds of tasks in the list. We need to mark these as complete or at the very minimum delete. The process is painstakingly slow - Does anyone know of a way to bulk edit these tasks? Thanks!!

Unfortunately it's not possible for users of the web interface to perform an action on multiple tasks at once. This is an area planned for future improvement.
There are a couple of ways you can do this:
If you'd like us to do this for you then, please make sure you give us specific details about which activities should be cleared. If it's as simple as all the un-cleared activities for a single user, then this is enough info. Please also let us know what the Activity results should be. This could be:
Additionally, let us know whether the activity details should be added to history.

In addition to clearing multiple activities, can multiple activities be edited:
So, a business owner may have Appointments scheduled with clients. Due to travel, clients have agreed to a telephone call, rather than an in-person meeting. ACT needs to reflect that the Activity is a Call, not an Appointment. The Swiftpage customer wants to edit quickly and efficiently these Activities rather than:
The basis of my question here is that I have used a CRM which allowed a "Mass Task" edit of any field. Does ACT have this functionality?
Also, is there a "mass task create" function such that, upon selecting various contacts, an Activity is created, e.g., "Send Birthday Card", "Schedule a Networking Lunch for Next Month", "Has Accounts Receivable Received Payment After 3rd Late Notice Sent Via Certified Mail", etc.

Editing an existing activity is a quick process, but I can understand if you have multiple that you need to change the type of, then it might take some time.
Act! has a mass edit function for record fields, but unfortunately not for activity fields.
You can quickly create a task for multiple contacts by selecting them and then clicking the task type in the Schedule menu.
You can also create multiple activities for a single contact from an activity series template.
