BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet works great with ACT 2011 Premium Web

Hello Everyone:

I just wanted to post a quick note that I have tried the BlackBerry Playbook with Sage ACT Premium 2011 and it works natively and without error. Great alternative to the iPad. Tks.

Technically, Blackberry are still streets ahead ... but it's the pretty games that they lack - and for some reason, that's what's driving the market.

Just wondering, how does it handle pop-ups like alarms, notes, etc?

Hi Mike:

I'll test it out for you. I think I remember it worked well but I'll try again. Also, in the near future, RIM will infuse Droid apps with the tablet and there has been talks of a 10" screen coming out in future versions but that is not confirmed info at this point.

Yep, I know about the Android VM... I was talking to the guys at Handheld Contact and they decided it would be easy just to work on the Android version rather than a native version.

I think it was the first tablet to get a native Facebook app (iPad should get its next month)

The only be drawback is how the absolute leaders in mobile email could release it without native email app.???

BTW: If you're a Berry fan, you might like this ... over a year old and still pretty accurate:

Yes, I agree. They should have a native email app in case you don't have a BB phone. Of course, I can just use our webmail server via the browser. If you have a BB phone, then it works great with BB Bridge via bluetooth. The email will pop up on the PlayBook. I have sent off a question to see if the native email app is a future enhancement.

Mike, the native email app should be out in September. That's the word.

I have Act 2010, ver 12.  Does anyone know for sure if it runs on the Blackberry Playbook?
