Backup, Restore, ALF v ADF

I have a situation where I need to restore my database.

1. I stop the ACT SQL process and backup the ACT folder structure to a back up device.

2. I have 2 laptops - XP Pro with ACT 2010.

3. I backup ACT to the backup device from laptop 1.

4. Can I move the entire ACT folder structure to the identical folder location on laptop and open the DB as normal .... or

do I have to do something different to open it?

Thanks.

Re: Backup, Restore, ALF v ADF

The following is the solution that Tech Support suggested and worked for me:

Move the ACT file structure to the desired location.

Delete the PAD file.

Start ACT

File Open Database >> select file extension as ADF.

Select the ADF file >> this is the database file.

Answer the few questions.
