Avery Labels don't match up

Avery Labels don't match up

I have slightly annoying issue.

I am using the print labels in Act! 2009 Premium.

So far, I have two label types:

Avery 8160

Avery 8163

When I print my label report, BOTH do not line up.

For the Avery 8163 there should be 10 labels per page. Act puts like 13 on there.

Aren't these supposed to be pre-made templates

I don't understand why it would be off. I haven't edited them or anything.

They work correct on my system. Were the labels you have edited or converted from ACT! 6?

Re: Avery Labels don't match up

Hi Roy,

Thanks for your help.

Basically what I am doing is creating a mass mailer using my contacts.

So, I made a look up of all my US contacts.

Then i hit PRINT Labels

The problem I see is that only a few AVERY labels are listed there.

Some of them are weird like J8160  instead of 8160. I dunno if that's the problem.

Is there a place I can download the label templates?

Re: Avery Labels don't match up

The J8160 is a metric formatted label and would not work with a USA 8160 label sheet. I'm wondering if you accidentally chose United Kingdom rather than United States when you installed the ACT! program.

Re: Avery Labels don't match up

You need to fix the problem because it effects more than just the labels. If you check the opportunities I believe they will be in Pounds rather than dollars (check the currency symbol). There isn't any way to correct the problem other than to uninstall ACT! and reinstall it with the correct country selection. It shouldn't cause any problems with the database but to be sure, I would make a backup before the uninstall and then after the reinstall, do a restore as of the database with a new name to give it a better chance to make the internal corrections.
